ASTM BS IEC AACSR Conductor In Aerial Power Distribution Lines
AACSR is a composite concentric-lay-stranded conductor. Galvanized steel stand or strands form the central core of the conductor, around which is standed one or more layers of Aluminum Alloy wires. The steel core may consist of single stand or a concentric stranded cable of 7, 19, 37, or more wires. Numerous combinations of aluminum alloy and steels and layers are possible.
