Overhead Insulated Cable is a cable that uses aluminum as the main conductor, because aluminum is less dense and therefore lighter in weight. It is often used in the transformation of overhead distribution lines and long-distance transmission and transformation lines of rural power grid, and is widely used in urban power grid.
