4 AWG XLPE Insulated Cable Triplex Overhead Service Drop Cable
Distribution centers use exterior aluminum overhead cables. Through the weather head, they transport the electricity from the utility wires to the buildings. The cables also serve as service drop cables because of this specific role. There are three types of aluminum overhead cables: duplex, triplex, and quadruplex. In single-phase power lines, duplex cables are utilized, whereas in three-phase power lines, quadruplex cables are employed. Only triplex cables are utilized to deliver power to consumers from utility lines.
Soft aluminum 1350-H19 series is used to make aluminum conductor cables. Extruded thermoplastic polyethylene or cross-linked polyethylene is used as insulation to shield them from adverse outside weather conditions. The cables have a voltage rating of and an operating temperature of up to 75 degrees.
